This is a high protein take on my Banoffee Pie and Walnut Bread.  It is a little denser on the inside but high fibre, high protein and great taste.  This is suitable for a basic programme on the bread maker of about 3 hours.

Ingredients

  • 150g Wholemeal Flour
  • 150g Strong White Flour
  • 1 ¾ tsp (10ml) Yeast
  • 250ml Water
  • 1 tsp (6ml) Cinnamon
  • 1 tbs (20ml) Honey
  • 2 heaped scoops of Banoffee Pie Flavour XTR-4
  • 3 tbs (60ml) Sweetener
  • 1 tbs (20ml) Olive Oil
  • ½cup (150ml) Sliced Walnuts
  • ½tsp (3ml) Bicarbonate of Soda.

Preparation Time
  • 5 Minutes

Cooking Time
  • 3 hours

Directions

  1. Measure all the dry ingredients into a bowl (apart from the walnuts.)
  2. Into the bread maker add the Water and Olive Oil
  3. Then add the dry stuff - Flour, Yeast, Sweetener, Banoffee Pie XTR-4 Protein.
  4. Press start. When it beeps add the walnuts (this is roughly 30mins into its cooking).
  5. Leave it alone.
Then when it's time to come out.... Try not to eat the whole loaf . This is still really tasty. I love cooking with XTR-4 of all flavours - it works really well with the blend of proteins.
