High Protein Savoury Banana and walnut Bread

This is a high protein take Banana and Walnut Bread.  It is a little denser like normal bread, high fibre, high protein and tastes great.  This is suitable for a basic programme on the bread maker of about 3 hours. The best thing is that if you are not able to eat bananas, it has the flavour from Banana Express Whey but NO actual bananas. 

Ingredients

    • 150g Wholemeal Flour
    • 150g Strong White Flour
    • 1 ¾ tsp (10ml) Yeast
    • 250ml Water
    • 1 tsp (6ml) Cinnamon
    • 1 tbs (20ml) Honey
    • 2 heaped scoops of Express whey Banana
    • 3 tbs (60ml) Sweetener
    • 1 tbs (20ml) Olive or coconut Oil
    • ½cup (150ml) Sliced Walnuts
Preparation Time
  • 5 Minutes

Cooking Time
  • 3 hours

Directions

  1. Measure all the dry ingredients into a bowl (apart from the walnuts.)
  2. Into the bread maker add the Water, Honey and Olive Oil
  3. Then add the dry ingredients - Flour, Yeast, Sweetener, Express whey Banana.
  4. Press start. When it beeps add the walnuts (this is roughly 30mins into its cooking).
  5. Leave it alone.
Then when it's time to come out.... Try not to eat the whole loaf!.
