Is rice pudding good your stomach?
Rice pudding can be soothing for the stomach, especially if you're experiencing digestive issues. It's typically made with simple ingredients like rice, milk, and a bit of sugar, which are generally easy to digest. The rice provides a bland, low-fiber carbohydrate source, making it gentle on the digestive system. Milk adds a creamy texture and provides calcium and protein, while the overall soft consistency of rice pudding can be comforting. However, if you're lactose intolerant or sensitive to dairy, it's best to make it with lactose-free milk or a dairy alternative to avoid discomfort.
Tip*
Instead of adding sugar or sweetener slice an apple and lay it on top. The rice pudding will bubble around it caramalising the apple giving it a lovely sweet flavour without any added nasties.
